Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Emily Wilhoit (she/her). I started Mountain Valley Therapeutic Services as a practice for those living in the valley of their lives, and cannot see the bigger picture. (Cliché, I know)

One thing you will learn about me if we decide to work together, I like puns, analogies, metaphors, you name it. I think they offer wisdom, and with all the seriousness in the world, we need a little laughter. As we climb up mountains to get to higher points in our lives, the beauty is in how we fought and climbed to get to the top. The amazingly, beautiful view from the mountain, is the valley.

The work I like to focus on in therapy is your needs, how childhood shaped you, and patterns that cycle in you life that aren’t serving you. I believe our inner world is so masterfully created by our experience that it takes someone that is warm, safe, and curious to help us unlearn and relearn the patterns that we want to create, reach our highest point, and appreciate what we went through to get there.
